2MB/s WIFI - Real speed?

I am on a 2 MB/s link to my isp.... this is wireless, what speeds SHOULD I realistically be able to insist on them delivering? Most of the time THIS is what I actually get :

So I would like to know, is this good, is it bad, or what can I actually INSIST upon? To me, the speeds I get are sorta more towards a POOR 1 MB/s connection?

So you receive a wireless ISP service, similar to say iBurst?
A 2mb link means you can expect under ideal conditions, 210KBps downstream, so yes, your 54KB/s is poor.
However, they don't guarantee any sort of speeds. Also, your speeds are dependent on your signal to the tower.

This is not apples with apples ( speed wise ), but here is another WISP ( Kawuleza 4mb uncapped )

Download Speed: 3869 kbps (483.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3803 kbps (475.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

I think something is wrong with your link. How far are you from the tower? Ping something like mybroadband and see if you are getting spikes or timeouts.
