Hi guys.

OY vey. I am trying to buy a second hand watch from Japan but Aramex and RAM don't like sending second hand items.
Is there anyone else I can look at?

Kind regards

Do you already have a watch for your first hand and now you are looking for a watch for your second hand? No wonder they don't want to assist

Best guess, they have too many broken things arriving and don't want the constant complaints or stuff is being shipped broken and insured. I wish they'd just have loss only insurance and grow some.

Yes but same as having a wallet in every pocket. I don't want to look for it all day😅

Look for a forwarding service. Typically for multiple purchases but you may find one that can handle a single purchase.

I did investigate a bit but haven't got one that stands out...yet.
DHL is willing to ship and insure but only on expedited option at R1800 for a book sized item. That seems to be my best option atm:rolleyes:

DHL and FedEx and FedEx Economy are quite inexpensive, usually, from Japan.
If you're really desperate EMS is an option, but have it insured.

You need a permet from SARS to import second hand goods. Been there done that when I imported second hand screw feeders from Ebay, stuff landed up in bonded warehouse while my shipping agent applied for the permits.
