Heya,

Wanna sell my 19" Proline (AOC) LCD monitor, it's about 1.5-2 years old with one stuck pixel on the left edge area (blue instead of black) Pretty vibrant monitor with some moderate left n right edge backlight bleed, nothing distracting tho..

Fair price?

I agree with the pricing, but I disagree with the "Don't give too much info".

Honesty is still a virtue.

Tell them about the dead pixel, but add that new Samsung screens often comes out with a number of dead pixels, and that they only swop out new screens if it has more than 6 dead pixels.

Tell them about the bleeding too.
Add that most people won't even know whether their screen is doing it or what it is unless it is pointed out to them.

Lastly, say that you feel R700 is the asking price, state that it's cheaper than other 2nd hand 19" LCDs, and that there's not too much wrong with it.

Rather take R100 or R200 less for the screen and do a deal that you can be proud of, and will compliment your character.

If it's only a stuck pixel, can't you download a program which unsticks it ?

Ya I tend to like to get everything out in the open initially to avoid further problems..

Well, it's not always stuck I will admit, sometimes I'll look for it and it's gone, then will appear sporadically..

True, true. Would never do it myself. Hopefully though that pixel and bit of light bleed isn't too noticeable to prospective buyers that would pay the most (i.e. noobs).

Those programs don't always work, sometimes its a hardware problem in the panel itself, and no amount of software is gonna fix that. Believe me, I having a loving geen pixel that stares back at me daily, and have tried everything except throwing it out of the window :D
