This must be a Server PC right? 2 CPUs?

That's COULD be the case, but HIGHLY unlikey. I assume you're talking about a regular 2.4Ghz P4 with Hyperthreading?

Also, where does THIS come from??!?!:

CPU speed: 2.79 GHz Performance Rated at 4.19 GHz

Propably typed it himself... Also a 2.8ghz x2 should give 5.6ghz. Not "4.19 GHz". its propably a normal 2.8ghz Hyperthreaded..

U don't mention a price for that pc, but here's my thoughts..

A brand new Intel® 641 P4 Cedar Mill 3200mhz 2048K 800FSB S775 EM64T costs R 1,485.00. So your chip if its a normal 2.8ghz will be valued 2ndhand maybe at R550 to R700 at max.

Average motherboard goes for under R900. Uber motherboard just over R1200.
So yours might be valued at R500 +- Depending on brand and model.

Nvidia FX5200 ,, thats a cheapie. I've seen retail shops selling those for R350. So you might ask R150 or maybe R200 at max..

Memory : 512MB brand new goes for R450, 2nd hand will maybe be worth R250 at max.

DVD writers also go for R320-R380 +- (2nd hand value around R150-R200)

So end values, if i count them together..

R550+R500+R200+R250+150 = R1650

Obviously the 2nd hand price can go up or down, depending if its a good motherboard, or a geniun Dual-Processor (each one running at 2.8ghz). Also not included is a Hard-drive, Keyboard/mouse, and Monitor obviously..

thats my 2cents

I would pay about 1.5G for that pc~
But then again u can try selling it to some spoilt high school kids who knows nothing :p

Oo. OO.. me me. im in high school ( for another two week till fiinish my finals)

I'll buy it.

No wait.. no, no i wont. Its a pretty normal sort of "got me this one at Incredible connection" type PC.. should be hard to sell, you need some old grandma or something :/

Anything is hard to sell to the geeks on this board. There's nothing wrong with that pc. R1500 would be ripping you off. Sell it on Bid or Buy or Junkmail (You can advertise for free on the KZN Junkmail) www.junkmail.co.za

Sahara products have actually gotten better in the past year bought a wireless k/b and mouse set for a client from Bandwith and its really not bad got my bro a sahara mouse and he loves it just dnt deal with Sahara the service is shocking.
