My girl friend is going to be buying a low mileage 2008 Polo for R50k.

Then she wants to sell it for more than the R50k (not sure if it will sell for more) and buy a 2002 Polo classic for less than what she sold the 2008 Polo for.
She wants the car for at least 4 years (once her studying is finished)

Would it not be better off to keep the newer Polo if planning on having it for so long?

50k is very low for a 2008 polo...i would be careful

Double check why it is so cheap firstly? Also why buy a 2002 Polo Classic if you've got the 2008 model, probably still able to get it on warranty, lower mileage means less could possibly go wrong. It would be silly swapping like that.

The homework has been done on the 2008 polo and its all legit. Not reported stolen or anything. There was a reason why he was selling it just can't remember what it is (something about wanting to start his own business)

Thats exactly what i thought. I mean the money you gain by selling the 2008 and buying the 2002 will probably be used on fixing it up over time.

Yup that is the problem she'd have to face.

Well it all depends on what she can get for the 2008 by selling it.

If she can get 90k for it and buy another car for 40k, then I would go for it. There's nothing like getting a free car and I'm sure that's how she's planning it.

There is obviously some risk involved, but higher the risk, higher the reward.

thats waaay to cheap not to raise questions

.

Honestly, the car is going for at least 35k less than its worth...at least...
I know companies that buy cars and sell them for you, they would offer 70k on the spot if the car was legit, knowing they could sell it for over 80k..
There is ZERO chance this car is selling for 50k for no reason...

2008 Polo for R50k..........nooooooooooooo waaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!......and low milage nogal.....:wtf:

even a 2005/2006 high-milage will RETAIL for R70k/R80k....

I don't know, but there are too many questions here...

It does sound way to good to be true :-/. Hope she does not get screwed around with.

Please post a pic, maybe its 1998 model or something. We all doubting something so check it, and check it again. Maybe its code 3.

If all checks out, she's got lots of options.

Its a 2008 model :p. Will put pictures up this weekend. Its missing 1 hub cap (its came off when she went for a test drive hahaha) other than that is nearly perfect. Can't believe she got that lucky.
