2sec lag spike on local wifi network

Hey peeps..

looking for help..

have a customer with 2 usb wifi sticks.

DWA-110 (dlink)

ping looks like this to the accesspoint
1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2000ms
1,2,1,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2022ms
2,2,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,29992ms

i've checked with pingplotter - and it is EXACTLY the same interval between spikes.

i've changed:
from 54 to 11
chan 6 to 1
-tried newer drivers
-reinstalled xp
-updated adsl accesspoint firmware

both of these sticks gives me same result - other brands/models - no problems.
