2x GTS250 cards ?? SLI ??

Hi there peeps,

I might sound like an absalute noob here, but it is cause i am

I have a DP55WB Board.... it says it supports SLI. I also have 2x GTS250 graphics cards. and would like to try SLI

Excuse me for sounding stupid, but how on earth can i run SLI if there is only 1 pci-e x16 slot?

board pci slots:
One PCI Express* 2.0 x 16 bus add-in card connector
Two PCI Express 2.0 x 1 connectors
One PCI Conventional bus connector

Simple answer.You need a Motherboard that has two PCI Express x 16 connectors and that has support for SLI.

Looked online and there is no mention of SLI for the board on the Intel website.

Is there no sort of adapter that will allow it?

if not.... any other board i can get that will take the two cards?

oh... and i forgot to mention... one GTS250 is MSI, the other is gigabyte... does it matter?

The brand difference does not matter.

I won't recommend running 2x GTS250 in SLI, because they're slow to begin with and SLI scaling with that old range was terrible too.

That board of yours simply cannot do SLI.
