In my uneducated opinion, Solar is more about saving money, where Generator is about having power when you need it( at an inflated cost)
I would think even if you have solar you probably need a generator for where there is no sun and not eishkom?
Indeed, but it is way cheaper than the cost of replacing home electronics and appliances when the modified sine wave output of a cheap genny starts frying things.....
