Let's face it - even as a proclaimed Android enthusiast well versed in the many advantages over IOS (customisability, etc), the one thing that holds true is that Android Apps just don't have that 'wow' factor that IOS apps have.
IOS is smooth, silky, responsive - the apps look and feel polished (Currents or Pulse vs Flipboard for example) - Android tablets such as Iconia have 10 point multi-touch - there isn't a single app (including the O/S - ICS) that utilises this capability (where are our swipe gestures, five finger pinch, four finger app swapp, pinch/zoom is used intelligently and, dare I say it, intuitively, etc)
I've finally discovered an app that gives me hope - 3 cubed - a music player app - the 'browsing' interface is stunning, it's smooth, it's silky, it's responsive - sure, it has a way to go still from a functionality point of view (no rating stars for instance) but that will come.
You owe it to yourself to try it even if you just use it to 'wow' your friends and family.
