This 3 gig cap is bull, if you use adsl at work and you have 4 pc's setup 2 one account. Thats what 750mb each ok then you have to take into account updates (Windows, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Direct x, Video card....) and the list doesnt stop there. You also have program updates game updates, and the fact that most times you get a virus it eats a couple megs a month lets say 50mb although ive had times where it took alot more. All that could work out to alot of you bandwidth used just on updates and what not. Then ontop of that you have to work. You suddenly find yourself limited to the amount of work online you can actualy do. In my case yes i hardly ever reach my cap but that is because im FOURCED not to. I couldnt reach my cap and suddenly I get a virus, need an important update or whatever the case maybe then cannot update. This is not only bull but can cost alot of people business. And to think im a small company with only 2 pc's connected to adsl how are the bigger companies handling.

Just thought I'd voice my opinion.

Just having 2 computers play Battlefield 2 regularly will run a cap on 3GB.
Streaming music isnt even an option... What's the point of having "state of the art" internet if you have to curb yourself from NORMAL usage???

Sounds like you have a major dilemma.
What isp do you have and how much you pay?
Usaully axxess is good but some others like tel-kom are crap.
My granny had the same problem with tel-kom so she switched ti saix then axxess.
No iBurst in her area though:(

yep I will say that I am now fed up ....IM READY TO TAKE ACTION...
READY AND WAITING Cape Town....Whoever wants me IM HERE

lets do this

LETS DO THIS

Lets do this.

I have bf2 but cant play online much :(( really sux. Funny how I have a suposed great connection but cant even use it.

I switched over to a 30 gig cap after i realised i could never satisfy my hunger for BF2... now i clocked 60hrs plus on my pc alone in one month...
40hours on the other...
ie. 100 hrs @ 35 megs/hour = 3.5gb in a month.... :p

I'm with Telkom "cries" and paying R269 for 3g lol
Look at the bottom of your screen.
Axxess is R199 and its very realiable. No problems with my granny and my neighbours.

I wanna go with someone else and get a 30gig account only problem is e-mail address
dont really want it to change and go through the trouble of letting all clients know. Well actualy I dont mind its more my brother who doesnt want to.

Just forward all e-mail via pop3 etc.
Just tell your clients to send it to the normall address, then its forwarded to the new one.

I dont understand, wouldnt the e-mail address get canceled when i cancel telkom account ?

OH yeah, sorry:)
Just tell you clients that you have a new e-mail and you would like them to use that one.
Come on, If there really dedicated customers, then they will listen to you.
By the way, what business your running, I have to know whether its good or not:);)

lol We do advertising (printing, shirts, caps, banners, books....)

Is Axxess any good coz ive heard they have alot of problems like disconnecting alot and down for 2 days things like that.

VexBlade ask Telkom if you can keep your email addresses and cancel the ISP, i think they charge you R15 pm or something like that. Then go with Axxess/Imaginet/SAOL whoever you want. :)

How freaking wierd is that last thing that i posted was asking how good axxess was coz ive heard they disconnect alot and all that. But hmmm the post didnt make it and guess what. Im with telkom and right at that point i got disconnected for an hour lol.

Thanks Skint I'll look into that. If that is the case I will be canceling soooooon. Which is the best out of the 3 Axxess/Imaginet/SAOL ?

At the moment im with Imaginet and they are great. No complaints with them. Axxess, as you can see on the forums, are also very good. Just go with the cheapest one :D
