hey guys I dont really have a problem just curious about something
I bought a 3TB external Seagate expansion drive last year took the drive out of its casing and put it in my pc, it was working perfectly until 2 weeks ago until I started hearing the dreaded ticking sound from the drive after formatting it and reformatting it my pc refused to pick up the drive and it was essentially dead however i then decided to put it back in the enclosure formatted it again and it was working perfectly no more ticking sounds can anyway explain what happened, if you've heard of something like this happening before?
