3 Year or 1 Year Samsung Guarentee

I recall Samsung had a 3 year guarantee when I bought my first LCD. This option was between the period 23 September - 31 December 2009. What is the current scenario. Now due for the PS50C450.

A quick google scan on local shows most online shops showing a 1 Year warranty period. I would assume that is what you going to get.

Its a 3 year warranty. Go onto the samsung website and you will be able to see the warranty period for all different products.

Samsung in SA only offers a 12 month warranty on its LCD TV's.

(@IceDreama - Only Samsung computer monitors have a 3 year warranty in SA, but not their LCD TV's).

Some retailers (i.e. Govan Mani etc.) extend it to 2 years, but they hold the risk, not Samsung.

I bought my LCD during the same period and also remember that 3 year warranty.

If I recall, I got the standard 1 year and then needed to register on their site for the other 2

Bought my Plasma in Jan 2010. Got 3 year samsung warranty. Only have to retain Samsung warranty card and proof of purchase.
