I moved recently and so I wanted ADSL at my new place.

We waited for almost 3 months for the analogue line install. Finally done, so I ordered ADSL Self install, we have been waiting two weeks now. I called the support line today and was told that adsl installs take 30 Working days

My first ADSL took about 2weeks ie. 10days. Where the H does the 30 days come from? Any ideas to speed up the process?

I just had to wait 2 days after I ordered my self-install. Persistence is the key imo. Cannot even recall what exactly I did to speed up the whole process. I got a post about it on here somewhere...

Edit:
Just another few pointers:

Bug the 10219 / 0800 456 786 number every 24 hours :D
Ask them to Escalate your order after a few days.
If the Operator @ 10219 / 0800 456 786 tells you that your line is ready and you can go and get your Free Modem, ask him/her to check if the "order comments" does infact state this. If it does not state this, ask them to append this to the comments section of your order - I learned that the hard way (Got to the Telkom shop and was told the comments on my order does not show that my line is Finished).

My line was ready in 3 days flat after doing Just this. :D :D
So fast that I was caught off guard and did not have an ISP by the time I got my modem.

Back then you got a free modem O_o. They also told me that 30 days thing back then. lol
Order took me 3 days in total. Ordered on day 1. Was ready on day 3 after doing just what I quoted above - being persistent. :D

Phone telkom every day to find out whe it will be installed, also visit the branch as often as you can and tell them you need to know when it will be installed.

Cool, will do I am already phoning almost every day, I was just so shocked when I was told it would take 30days, it almost threw me from calling again.
