What you mean cant get it here, from the 1 of march i'll be retailing Dell on the site. Im importing so i can get anything.

It's already maxed out at 1280x1024 and it just doesn't cut it anymore :D
 
The Dell SA website is really crap. I bet if you phone them then you can order one. Everything takes about 2 weeks to be delivered after you order because they don't keep stock in SA they just merely order the stuff from DELL Europe in Ireland. Also I bought a dell notebook and now they send me emails with specials and a couple of months ago they sent me an email pimping the at the time new 2405fpw 24inch widescreen lcd. I just did a search for the mail in my mail archive and i see i received the email on the 5th of October 2005 and it was listed for R9999 incl vat and delivery. The reason I remember this mail was because i was really tempted to buy it at the time.:D
 
Thanks for the info Gambit ! I will definitely give then a call. I used an HP 23" for a while and nothing campares to a big screen like that especially in games.

well I have some of those, they are just 13" smaller, otherwise they are exactly the same :D

3 x 17" is about R7,800 for 3x1280x1024 = 3,932,160 pixels
1 x 30" is about R22,000 for 2560x1600 = 4,096,000 pixels

so for near 3 times the proce you get only 4% more pixels :D
 
but i want to get one tomorrow, o well i guess i will have to get from DP
 
Being doing my home work. Seems I can get the 24" for about R8000 through a friend of a friend ... might order one today :D

Or you can just phone Dell SA and they'll get you one.

hmm..although I'm sure your reason for reviving this thread is to brag (and rightly so :p), you've inadvertently opened a can of worms.

Person has no DELL LCD's on his site and this is 2 months after his initial posting.
