30 Gig Bytes or 30 Gig bits?

Currently I have a 30 Gb with WA/SAIX. My usage statistics at WA/SAIX match my own record (with FlashGet) times 8 roughly.

Then I remember one Telkom guy says,

"What happened is there is a group of ISP's out there that took the same 3 Gig service we sell and sold it as 30 Gig service."

Any similar experience?

what exactly are you asking?

For example, my FlashGet records a 100MB download, my usage at WA/SAIX will show a usage at 800Mb (at WA) and 800 MB at SAIX.

We are not sent bits, but rather octets, which are 8bits (or 1 byte), everything we work in is bytes, not bits. Flashget is not the best measure of how much traffic you are using, as there are portions that get resumed, etc. so even though you download lets say 100MB, there's more that has been "physically" downloaded than 100MB. Also, Flashget does not include any other network traffic you are doing, which all gets counted.

Basing your traffic on what Flashget alone says would be a mistake.

umm, make shure you dont have any spyware or viruses, also make sure that you dont have any programs running without your knowledge, if you keep having this problem maybe your account has been hacked, change your username and password
