I dunno if there is a DNS outtage or if im doing something wrong, but i cannot seem to get my 30GB axxess account to work.

I login no problem, but nothing will resolve. I've changed to the dns addresses to those that i got in the email from axxess. I did notice though that the ip range looked like those in the capped range 165.146.225.129.

Is there anything special that needs to be done with the 30GB axxess accounts that dont get done with any others ?? My IS & 10GB axxess accounts didnt require any additional settings.

Hey Obelix,
the 165.146 range is not the capped range. if you were, you would be on 165.165.
 
What are you using for dns?
 
You don't need DNS server addresses - they're assigned automatically when the connection is established.

btw munwaal is correct - they're assigned automatically when the connection is established. And TheflyOfCapeTown is correct with the IP ranges.
 
I have noticed some weirdness on various auto assigned dns servers, should force your primary and secondary to:

primary: 196.25.255.34
secondary: 196.25.255.3

Works flawlessly
 
I had the same problem as Obelix yesterday. I kept on reseting the router so i could browse certain website for around 10 minutes, then dead. But since last night it seems to be working fine again... Tx for the DNS's Clipse. Will try those soon.

Any news on what caused the problem? ps: I had the same problem on a test iSoft account, so it wasn't just axxess.
 
I feel like such a tit.

I found the problem. I'm constantly getting bombarded by http queries from 165.146.76.173/16 so i banned the range, not realizing that i happens to be same network that my 30GB account lives in.

I Unbanned the range and all is fine again
