30GB local only ...

Whatever your line speed is dear friend ;) :p

Does this mean I get 1mb speed on ALL local sites and downloads???
If thats the case why does openweb offer a 192kb 30gb local account at a higher cost?

30GB Local Only Full Speed, and then its 192kbps for international browsing.

192k = openbrowse, which allows you to browse internationally hosted websites such as gmail, cricinfo, etc

That's an account including "OpenBrowse" - Basically it's an account where your first 2GB cap is International or Local(regardless of what you use it for - INTL or LOCAL), and the last 28GB is local only.
Included in this last 28GB (once you've hit your 2GB International cap), is the "OpenBrowse" facility, which basically allows you to still browse International sites at either 192kbps or 384kbps , depending on the option you choose.
(Take note : Browsing means only opening webpages, NO DOWNLOADING)

thanx! what about playing on the "Steam" servers using the local account?

If you play on one any local servers like SGS (http://games.saix.net/), you can play using local cap...
Only thing is : You'll have to have Route Sentry up and running in order to do that, because Steam still authenticates your CD-Key with your INTL cap...

I use route sentry which authenticates with my TelkomInternet account, and then I play on local CSS servers for Counter Strike Source using the local only account, no problems...

Its recommended you have a international account active for authentication, there are other ways of getting it to work, even authentication via openbrowse but you might need to search around for that.

The only game I struggle to play with my local account is Call of Duty 2, the CD-Key doesn't authenticate... But CSS, Battlefield 2142 works well!

It's just a program that splits your local and INTL download:
Basically you buy yourself two different ISP accounts, one with local cap, the other with International, and then Route Sentry is a application that automatically routes your local traffic through your local account and your INTL traffic through the other - you need to set up your modem/router in bridged-mode though!

I personally use a Telkom 3GB account for my INTL cap and a 30GB Local only account from OpenWeb.

Thanks @ Ant1body for the most useful application EVER!!!

My one buddy uses his Virgin Mobile Cellphone with Routesentry.
(50cents per meg)

Authentication maybe uses 20-150kb. The rest is local once its connected. and runs off your local only account :>>

Or you could just buy 1GB prepaid from WebAfrica for, that'll probably let you authenticate for the rest of your life!
