Lips has thrown a heavy gauntlet down right on SingStar's dainty little foot. Right now, it looks like Microsoft might legitimately have the best karaoke game in the world on their hands. As long as it also gets the best karaoke songs in the world ready for download (by which we mean every karaoke song it can get its grubby paws on), Sony's grip on our living room on Saturday nights could be about to slip

That's pretty much the bulk of the article - without the catalogue you're in dwang. What they didn't do though is get time with the "play your own tunes" feature. From what I've heard it does address a lot of the reviewers concerns.

From a content perspective, as a "non pop" person I must say I actually like the track list so far, a lot more on there that I like, but I would be caught dead trying to play something like this

Lol - you can get HSM for the 360 now as well

The big plus with LIPS is that you can use any old MP3's as well. It can analyse the song and score you accordingly. Quite nifty....

The worst thing about this game, is that some sad soles are going to buy this game and sing along in there tone deaf voice, all by themselves, just to get gamepoints.....
