384k -> 1024 down and 512 up?

A friend of mine in Greenpoint, Cape Town (across the road and a few blocks down from the new stadium) has just had 384k adsl installed and is syncing at 512 up and 1024 down.

Has some issues with his line/router/something so it's not up and running yet, but I'll follow up when he's online and can do a speed test.

Here's hoping that's the free upgrade coming in June for 384k users!

I remember when I also went to help a friend activating his line via telkom's website. Before he verified it, it sync at some like 2mb down and 1mb up. After his line got verified, it went down to 384k down 128k up. Hoping that it won't be same scenario for your friend and that it stays at 1024 down and 512 up, I'll be sooo stoked if telkom bumped 384k up to those speeds

Some one mailed me yesterday that there account was bumped from 384 to 512 aswell. Working and he is stoked ..
