Has anyone used 3CX PABX over Neotel SIP. We have everything up and running but getting intermittent one way speech on incoming and out going calls. Neotel says it's not on there side and we say not on the PABX as we have everything checked. Please let me know if anyone has had experience with this.

Is there any NAT involved ?

NAT ALG issue,

On you router, look for NAT settings and remove any tickboxes that enable SIP and ALG. Some routers have this setting to "help" voip but it actually makes it worse.

Hi There,
I have not done anything with it. But the suggestions above are worth trying. However we all want to learn so please post the results of the above here for our edification.

Thanks

Tim

Very likely to be the SIP ALG as mentioned above, make sure the firewall in the router is down for testing. To isolate the 3CX PBX , program the Neotel SIP account directly into a soft phone or IP phone and check what happens

Do you have the Neotel NeoVoice circuit provisioned over their Fiber solution

Setup your PC as the same IP (Class C IP) as your 3CX PBX (cannot ping Neotel Softswitch)
Install Wireshark on the same PC as the Softphone and capture the SIP handshake
as well as the RTP Stream.
Playback the Audio stream and check if you get one way speech now.

Google for "Voip Wireshark"
http://cyber-cottage.co.uk/site/images/stories//wiresharkdebug.pdf (older version)

You can get the string data - from your Softphone /IP Phone to the Huawei SoftX3000
Snom VoIP phones web interface have a SIP Trace Feature as well PCAP Trace (view in Wireshark)

Had an issue one with Neotel rejecting Telkom 081 50x xxx numbers and get info from Wireshark -
that their Huawei was rejecting those calls, logged a call and they added that route to the softswitch.

Check the jitter and bandwidth under Wireshark
