Hi Guys

I know this may seem as though it's in the wrong section, but due to the nature of the questions, I believe this is my thread's home :)

I plan on purchasing a D7000 range Sammy if that helps any answers.

1) I have an ATI gfx card. If I used the 2D to 3D conversion on the TV, will a game that uses 3D (Crysis 2 for example) appear as it would if I were using nVidia's 3D vision, or noticibly worse?

2) Can you use 2D to 3D successfully on a pc using a HDMI 1.4 cable?

3) Has anyone tried 2D to 3D on non 3D games on a PC without using 3D Vision?

4) To play 3D movies on the net (I read You-Tube supported it??) do I need nVidia's item again, or just the glasses that I'd buy for the tv?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

What goes Bump....

If anyone can even suggest another place to check, that would be great...

Interesting question, however, I think it won't work.

The 3d part you want to see needs to be rendered by the gfx card, pumped through the cable, and decoded again by the TV.

I imagine sending 2D to a 3d Tv and converting is going to be pretty ****ty, try it with a PS3 and test.

Thanks bud.

I was using a different (otherwise read: Hopeful) means of logic. The 2D-3D conversion works "best" on a HDMI device. Now the 'device' in this case would be my PC, and the material would generally be better suited for 3D, than a HD tv feed. The conversion is done by the TV. It tries to establish left/right images in an attempt to create the 3D effect. Now (again hopefully) with games being programmed with 3D in mind, surely it should also work?

Do you see where I'm coming from?
