3d Printers South Africa

I did the same but through Buildvolume. Will hopefully come this week but has been a rough experience thus far.

We need more Bambu lab suppliers in SA to event out the competition.
I ordered through Ec3d - they were responsive to emails - and it's on the way already, I'm assuming it'll be here tomorrow or Thursday. (They were also the cheapest - R24,000 for the combo)

I was going to go with either buildvolumne or geewiz when they had stock.

Wow my Snapmaker U1 just in time for Christmas

48h+? Why that long? It does not seem that big and even with multi color it seems very slow.

Each colour change ( sometimes 4 per layer) takes anywhere between a minute and 90 seconds.

That same parrot in one colour wouldn’t take more than about 45 minutes to print in a single colour

Same on a few local sites:

Might be legit unless these places all sourced from the same knockoff supplier.
Thanks. I guess it's just a typical Chinese typo...

Another reason to have an AMS. No need to worry about a spool running out while printing. Just have the same color/type in the ams on another spool and it switches automatically to the new roll. I would not want a printer without it. 20251217_202610.jpg

Try ludicrous mode
I'm tempted - but all my filament is over 2 years old, slowly tossing it out if its too brittle - but - even the Benchy in under 20min at much better quality is impressive to me

Going to order some new filament and give it a go. Damn kids have had this thing running non-stop since I got it setup.

I'm still wanting to print a TPU dumbbell spacer I couldn't get done on the Ender - kept getting stuck in the extruder - I want to see how this handles it - also nice you can have five filaments at a time.

(and just discovered the thing as a poop shoot at the back that goes straight to the floor - I was trying to figure out where the filament goes when it cleans the nozzle... guess that'll be my first upgrade to print)
