3D Secure is down?

I have been trying since yesterday to complete online purchases but 3D-Secure times out. I called ABSA and they said it's down and VISA / Mastercard is working on it. Are they talking nonsense or is it really down?

3D Secure is used by VISA/Mastercard regardless of your bank.
ABSA gave me prime -2 on my bond, beating the rest.

Sure, but the actual verification pages are hosted on each individual bank's web platforms. For example, with FNB, the 3D secure page is on https://3dsecure.fnb.co.za. If the page is not working then it's more than likely the fault of your bank, not VISA or Mastercard.

OK, here is what I get, I get taken to https://www.vcs.co.za/vvonline/ccform.asp to enter my details and when I click pay it says waiting for vcs.co.za and the after it timed out :
Response: 3DSecure processing failed
Error: .Call to Bankserv failed. No Response code from Bankserv

Getting the same on FNB so doubt the fault is with the bank.

No problems my side, used Standard Bank MasterCard to pay my Telkom acc this morning @ 04:00, although I thought I might pick up problems, seeing Standard Bank was a total f-up yesterday.

I have made two purchases from jetlineactionphoto.com and they worked fine, also went through vcs.co.za but when I try from racetec.co.za it does not go through.

Yes, experiencing issues trying to pay my ISP for the last 24 hours or so - keep on getting this error:

VCS is the culprit waited over 4 minutes for the transaction to be authorised over the weekend with takealot it a few seconds to authorise the transaction. Take it up with VCS to reboot their servers or something tell them thr page times out. Yesterday another ABSA complained about 3D secure being down when transacting on takealot website.

Just called ABSA again. 3D secure is still down and has been down since Friday. They have no clue what is going on or how long it will take to fix.
