Hi Guys, please help me out...I really know very little about networking.

I want to have a secure connection between my laptop and my 3G/4G Modem/Router

Before I start, just three things...
1. The connection must be provided by a 3G/4G Modem/Router
2. VPN MUST be on the Router or Access Point
3. The laptop must be connected to the Router/Access Point via LAN cable

Can I have the following setup...

3G/4G Modem Router <---Wired/Wireless Connection---> Access Point Archer C7 with OpenVPN <---Wired Connection---> Laptop

Further, are there any 3G/4G Modem/Routers out there that support VPN setup natively, in other words, to bypass the Archer C7 Access Point/Router?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys

I think I found my solution...

3G/4G Router with OpenVPN support.

Will it work the way intended?

Just a quick heads-up to anyone who wanted to run a VPN on a 3G/4G Router. Please note at this stage it is NOT supported.

Not on the 3G/4G Modem/Router nor setting it up on an OpenVPN client Access Point.
