3G Activation Problems

Eish fun and games with the new tariffs and and ...
Went to vodaworld today
Most of the sales persons in the shops were not aware of the new tariffs.
They did not know about 3g on prepaid or how to buy it
One even suggested that I activate the 3g options on vodacom4me.
Me thinks the communication in the vodacom world is a bit slow
 
I think the shops and the heldesk can't keep up with the changes that have happened, mostly due to this forum, in the past month. It looks as if vodacom, in trying to deal with us is moving to fast for the shops to stay up to date.
Yes communication is looks to be slow.
 
It's also a function of the typical member profile, even if that sounds a bit egotistical.

Forum members , by far, understand what's happening here due to the IT background most of us have.

Think of the poor salesman / call desk operator who took 3 years to learn about voice, now suddenly it's IP, DNS, caps, etc.

No excuse, but it must be tough. But then again, they want to sell this stuff....
 
Does not surprise me, the shops told me that International Roaming is actived by default and part and parcel of your bundle, i.e. 3G use in the UK would come off your 1gig allowance....... memo was supposed to be sent, but .......? I am not a dealer so I don't know if it was or wasn't..... perhaps someone needs to start a FAQ for the dealers... considering we have all the questions and some of the answers.
