3G and FaceTime

Helllo there

I have a 2+2GB Data Bundle on contract with no top-up option for R 149.00 per month. Thus when the 2Gb data is finished, i must manually recharge.

I inserted the sim into my iPad to use, so the 3G connection is always 'on'.

This month (October) statement comes and I see the call charges amounts to R284.03 excl VAT.
My question is, is FaceTime being seen as a call or data charge?
Any other services that can be seen as call charges?

Facetime is a data charge

Doesnt it make a Voice call to make sure client active, the minute the connection is made it drops the Voice call and carries on via Data charge ?

I could wrong, which is most likely

Well, FaceTime works on WiFi only iPads and iPod Touches, so I doubt it uses voice

now that is exactly my point. I only use the 3g simcard in my iPad, nowhere else.
