Hi i've just moved to Parkview and i lose 3g signal as i enter my gate. I need this badly for me to do the live streaming i do as i dont have fixed broadband. Someone told me to get the booster antenna. What is this? How does it work and where do i buy it and for how much?. Kindly help. Manazz

poyntingdirect is really over expensive.. You could buy a laptop for the price of some of their antennas. And they can only promise a 10 % Signal gain.

I suggest taking a pot or noodle wok and making your own signal strengthening device. I tried it and to my delight it had worked.

Just place your pot on a table surface(turning it around so that it faces the direction of the tower) and put your antenna inside of the pot. Hope it helps and maybe save you a small fortune

In my case signal gain was around 12% (from -91dBm to -80dBm) on an E272 - worth every cent! I'm quite a few km from a tower, and the topography is against me... Plus, I don't experience any disconnects when I use the wok for a stir-fry...

PS. Where do you buy laptops? The most expensive antenna sells for just under R3000...

Well, if you are interested in getting a 3G antena, then maybe you be interested in buying mine. Its barely used and since my laptop and modem got stolen and I replaced it with a built in modem in my new laptop, it seems a waste sitting on top my roof now.

It comes with brackets, lighting conductor, the modem connection and I think I also have a cable extention too.

I did find it useful and did boost my signal but problably made it more stable than than anything esle (Did not keep dropping the connection).
