3G cap!

So how many of you have blasted into your 3G cap this month because of the large Blizzard downloads at the beginning of the month. Hit mine on Saturday so things have been bleak this week!

Yeah the patches have sucked. Thankfuly I was able to get the biggies from a friend.

Strangely enough, on iBurst I was getting better pings after the cap than before. Too bad they have general latency problem with WoW server at the moment

Is that the the EU servers because I was also struggling last week up from 600 to like 1200/1400 at times before I ran out of bandwith and hit 14000

Same here Fudzy, after cap pings are LOT better than uncapped pings

I am still stuggling with bad lag at the moment. I was not getting better than 1200 last night and was kicked out on numerous occasions. Is it just me or is anyone else struggling!

i agree .. those buggers only cought me once .... i opened the download manager and had a look ... they have Peer2Peer enabled as standard.

So for the unknowing person he has downloaded a 300mb patch and now there are 20 users leeching from him ..... so that was just way to crazy for me and i dis-abled P2P ... Yeah my patch download slower now .. but i dont have other people leeching my cap for a patch ....

I've found that often it's quicker to get the name of the file from the Bliz Downloader, and then search for a mirror on www.filemirrors.com.

Yeah good point, thats what I've been doing now, but from www.wowfiles.org . I was also burnt once when I thought I should let the download go after gaming and go to bed. Woke up in the morning without and bandwidth left.

A 3 g cap seems more than enough it's only when you down load rediculously large patches as in January, which shouldn't happen again in the near future.

Yeah, learn from others mistakes. This game is a curse, I cant leave it alone. I nearly forgot that I had to go to cricket practice the other day. At the moment it's a bit of a toss up, PLAY Cricket or PLAY WOW. Tough call.

I have an account that I only use for WOW. Last month my bandwidth used was just over 1Gb. I download all updates from the office.
