Hi people!

I had an VMC 6.0 installation that worked very well. I had a power cut whilst connected, of course no working battery in my laptop, so my laptop switched off and this somehow corrupted my VMC software.

I tried to connect again and received a runtime error.
I uninstalled the software, removed the vodacom and Huawei registry files and tried to reinstall the stuff.
When I get to setup.exe I get an error with the mfc70.dll file.
I then did a system backup to the day before the power cut and tried to install again, same problem.
I then removed my antivirus software (norton), did a ccleaner, cleaned up registry, all windows updates are up to date, got the mfc70.dll off the net...I even downloaded some .net stuff that I'd thought would help... everything I can possibly think of.
same problem.

So I phoned the help desk. No help. Help desk suggested that I take my craptop into the shop and they would have a look at it for me.

I did that and ended up having to do a system backup and cleanup from when the guy tried to install/reinstall version 7.0 (3million times) getting the same mfc70.dll error.

So the person at vodacare could not help me either.

Anybody have any ideas???????

Looks like a few other people have experienced a problem with the mfc70.dll file.
Look at this thread. There unfortunately doesn't appear to be a solution as yet:(

Correct, so make sure that you have all your Windows Updates installed. VMC most prob. want to create a component and is passing an updated param. to mfc.

EDIT: What would be usefull is if you can post *ALL* the numbers and crap (there is a details button normally) and then we can help even more :)

Laterz !

This would be the best thing to do for now :)
