Hello guys,

I am sorry if I am posting this thread in the wrong place but I am new to this forum.

I have a Huawei e173 modem that I bought from my cellular network (Zain in Jordan). I connected this modem to a TP Link 3G router (TL-MR3220) and configured the correct APN and dial-up number (I took them from the cellular provider). In the router's status page, it takes a minute to identify the modem and connect to the internet (to get the IP address and other stuff).

Now things work fine, but sometimes, and in different periods of time, I get no access to the internet although the status page of the router shows that I still have an IP address and the other stuff!

I upgraded the modem firmware to the latest version (I got that from the Internet). Now I am connected longer to the internet before I get any disconnection. In other words, it is much better now than before but I still have some disconnections.

In order to get the internet access back, I have to reboot the router which will turn off and back on the modem.

I had the same issue with another modem, the Bandluxe PR39, I took it to the provider and they made an upgrade, but after a few days the disconnections appeared again! (Same cellular provider -Zain-).

I tried another SIM card on both devices but the problem is still there!

I called the support and they told me it might be a coverage problem in my area (I live close to the royal palaces and there is some radio interference) and the support told me that they might visit my place to figure it out but they still didn't.

And one more thing, in the modem I get the cyan color (3G+) %99 of the time, and the status page of the router shows that I have a signal strength of %25-45%, but mostly around %30.

I would like to know if there is a solution for that as I am really tired of the customer support!

Thank you so much.
