3G Connectivity on iPad

Hi

My 3G connection on iPad4 works fine in my home town.
However when I travel (domestic) I cannot connect & get "No service".
This has happened in Jhb airport & in Cape Town.
The APN is lte.vodacom.za
If this is perhaps the issue, what should it be?

change the apn to internet.
see if that works
