3G coverage expansion in Centurion

Are there any way of telling when a particular area are up for 3G expansion or are the allocation based on request for 3G service in that area, I’m in Centurion “Wierda Square 1“ tower area with a 100% GSM signal, My 3G are sitting on 1 Bar with the Ext aerial else I do not have 3G indoors, outdoor I’m getting 1 bar without the ext aerial.

To whom can we direct PM to request an area upgrade in our area?

Upgrade of towers

What exactly does "upgrade" of the towers mean?

Does it mean that the signal strength will be beter, or will connections be faster?

Upgrade is probably the wrong word here. The radio planners will look at a certain area and will do anything from antenna adjustment to commissioning a new site to fix coverage problems.

Often factors beyond our control affect the signal strength and quality, for example finding suitable locations for the towers.

Coverage

Here's an interesting one... Currently in a hospital in Parktown, Johannesburg,the 2G network has no reception whatsoever, but 3G is working beautifully. At this early stage of the network's evolvment, I would have expected the complete opposite. Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised
