I'm trying to connect two laptops with a cross link cable. For printing as the one printer is connected to the laptop. We move around alot, so that's why we stay as mobile as possible.

When the printing works between the two laptops and i activate the 3g to go on the internet, it disconnects the whole time. And i cannot connect.

The ip range i use between the two laptop's with the cable is simple

ip: 10.20.0.4
subnet mask: 255.0.0.0

also, when the 3g is on, and i plug in the cable, the lan connection of the 3g software activates, and disconnects the 3g, as it switches from 3g to lan. We are using the most updated vodacom 3g software available. i've looked at the advanced options, but have no idea why it's doing this.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Vodafone Mobile Connect automatically connects to what it deems is the best connection. Very annoying.

To disable click on "Best connected" under the settings menu. Set it to prompt or change the priorities under the "Manage connections" button.

WiFi and using the K3770/K4505

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem - started happening since I upgraded from my older Vodafone modems to the K3770 and K4505. These modems now show up under the connections window in Windows 7 with the name and logo "VODAFONE" which I think looks much better than the old ones used to (you can now see the 3G signal strength like you would a wireless network strength)

Connections Window:

Problem that I have with this is that now when I'm connected on 3G and Wifi, I can only use 1 network at a time. If I connect my 3G, I have to switch off my Wifi to browse the internet. Sometimes it is the other way around where I have to disconnect my 3G so that I can connect to machines on my wireless network. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks!

Only prob i had was with 3770 would overheat and stop functioning, took 10 of them back to supplier no questions asked, which means they acknowledge a prob and never admit it in order to try f u over.

Thanks for mentioning this, as I have the same problem on my Laptop ...

If I am connected via "wire" to the network at home, then, I cannot connect via my K4505z to the internet, and the same if I am connected to the network at home, via a wireless connection.

Just haven't gotten around to see if a solution is available ... , been busy with other things ...

How does one connect to the home network, and the internet ... ?
