3G/HSDPA Coverage Cape Town

Hi there

Can anyone (maybe mtn_dude) tell me what the coverage strengths for the various areas in Cape Town is. I'm in Table View/Milnerton and have varying levels of speed. My card switches between GPRS and 3G the whole time.

For the past week and most of December 2007 I've only been able to achieve GPRS. Is 3G/HSDPA not available in my area? Should I rather go to Vodacom as I've been able to get 3G speeds with them. I don't want to.

Check on MTN's coverage map. You might want to consider installing an external antenna to improve your 3G connection.

I am using my HTC Tytn as a modem,I can't get decent speed either, GPRS most of time.

I started off with a MTN prepaid sim in my E220, but couldn't get reception in Malmesbury, Vleesbaai (next to Mossel Bay), etc... slapped in a Vodacom prepaid sim and suddenly I'm connected 'everywhere you go'...hehe...sorry, couldn't help it.
