wait, what?

So you got this :

[huawei]----[laptop]----[wifi router] ~ ~ ~ ~ [other laptop]

--- = wires/physical connection
~ ~ ~ = radio link

On the wifi router side, you'll need to assign a static IP to the laptop's ethernet adapter, and another one to the router itself.

Then you'll have to assign a static IP to the laptop accessing the wifi router. (Unless you got a DHCP server).

That's all to it.

--- = wires/physical connection
~ ~ ~ = radio link

Did this a while back very easily with Firestarter - give it a shot.

try firestarter with no luck

Sorry to hear that. I remember when I first used it, I did have issues too. It had to do with the incoming and outgoing rules but without it in front of me, I cannot remember. Did you add any rules? I am pretty sure you need to...

I don't think network manager likes two active network interfaces at once, google a bit.
