I am a 3G customer, and 3G rocks for my in a way, but one thing that really makes me insane angry:mad:, I used a P4 and made it into a proxy server, And I use for 3G connection for the internet, but sometimes, the 3G just resets, and freezes the connection basically, and then it unplugs it self virtual and then plug in self back virtually, you can even heard that sound, ding ding, like as if you have manually plugged it out and put it back in again, but as soon as the PC unplugs itself and plugs inserts back virtually, and then if I want to redial after that crap, then I get a error, device in use??

This have happened on my other PC also, my workstation, and to manually unplug a device and to plug it back, its stupid:cool:

does anyone have solution "raad" for me?

thx

Maybe ask a mod to move it to the 3G section then where it will get better exposure to the right people?

Put your phone on UMTS only of GPRS only.

It does that everytime you lose 3G Signal i would guess. Start there first and work from there. Process of elimination ;)

I have Windows XP on everything

I use Vodacom, sorry I forgot to add this info

Wierd

I used to have the same kind of DC's but it was due to my Screen saver on Vista. The software your running for the card, not sure if it's the same as the MTN one, but it should allow you an option to select UMTS only. I'll check on our software tomorrow morning for you :)

it does the same, on proxy or just as a normal workstation pc, It have just happened a hours ago, it unplugs itself in a way in random intervals, and then I must do a manually plug out and plug.

It's if the device have crashed

hahaha, I'm not going to upgrade to Linux

can it be a problem with my USB power saving settings?

mod can you please put this thread under the Vodacom section? :)
