Hi Everyone,

I am doing research into 3g and need to compile a document.
Any comments from you guys will help.
I am researching the following:

Advantages of 3G
Disadvantages of 3G
Pricing - Contract cost too high or too long
Problems experienced by users with 3G.
Problems encountered with call centre.

So if any of you can post or pm me your comments it would be appreciated.

I notice in the MTN forum, you posted:

"So MTN Will we see any PC/Laptop bundles soon,as my directors are starting to look at VC and believe I want to stay awy from them and keep everything with MTN."

I hope your 'Broadband Research' is not an attempt to get the dirty on (only) Vodacom. :)

Of course, you need to know about the Vodacom 3G experience. Just make sure you get a comparative view on MTN's 3G offering. There's been some extensive postings on the VC vs. MTN offerings.

No it is not.

I am trying to put into perspective of which is the best offering.
I have been tasked by my director to compile a document to foresee or aleviate any unecassary problems that might arise.
Reason for this is that our company has between 20-30 field workers and all of them connect up via mobile to e-mail,internet.
we need to cut this cost but at the same time if we can get a pc deal with it would be sweet.
It would cost us more than R230000 to set them up each with a laptop.
The task in hand for me has a time frame of 4 weeks to do my research and submit my proposal to my director.

So no i am not trying to get dirty on Vodacom............

I doubt that RPM would have seen your post there, usually better to send a p.m. to be sure that any particular forumite will read such a request :). But I can point you in the direction of the download:

Please note that at the time MTN had not yet launched their 3G offering, and AFAIK Vodacom's 3G rating was pulled down by the 1GByte cap compared to other broadband services that offered 3GBytes, i.e. take that into account when reading the report...:)
