Aweh

I have to set up an E1550 modem on Windows 7 tomorrow - apparently it's not just working after being plugged in, so I've been called out to sort out the set up.

I haven't setup an E1550 before, but I do have some experience with 3G modems in general.

Is there anything that I may need to take with? Patches/fixes/other software, etc. that may be necessary to get it working in Windows 7?

TIA

Take a copy of the full VMC 9 whatever the latest version is. MDMA would be a good backup plan for troubleshooting and of course it never hurts to have your own notebook there and a 3G modem you know works.

Thanks - I know I've posted in the Vodacom thread, but if its MTN branded, any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind that, it's defnitely VC

Okay so I went to the VC website to download VMC 9 under the Windows 7 Software tab.. it doesn't list the E1550 as a supported device though?

Huawei has a very generic driver set. Chances are good it will just work.
