3g on virgin mobile?

Does virgin mobile have 3g?
Are their speeds as goos as cellc or vodacom?

Its no use gettin a smart phone but it only had edge IMO
 
i get 3.5G almost everywhere in durban .i was pleasantly surprised to see that when cellc upgraded the network ,us virgin guys also got upgraded.if your phone supports it.

coz i have the htc dream on virgin and i get it here and there
I thought perhaps its my phone
BUt virgin def had 3g then???
 
definately.i download 10mb videos in a few seconds.
 
how do u see their covergae?
Coz according to cellc i have 3g in my area
but on virgin I dont
 
get a prepaid cell c sim , those map things arent always right.if you have 3g on cell c then you should also have coverage on virgin but if the cell c sim doesnt have coverage it means that they will still be upgrading that area( whoooosh hasnt arived in your area).

I see on certain areas there is 3g but in central cbd areas and malls there isnt

so that means with the desire hd I will get 3g on virgin mobile as well? for sure?
 
details like what are you using would be helpful,as a start.
