Hi

How do i enable 3g on my windows tablet...as i googled...only got a pic what state the connection must be under mobile broadband top of wifi networks...but their is nothing. Its a windows 8.1 tablet....

Thx in advance....

If the sim is in, when viewing your wifi networks, they'll be a mobile connection on top.

it dont pop up...thats what i saw on google ya..but nothing shows...factory fault on device?

What tablet do you have? Some don't come with cellular capabilities and are wifi only.

I have a Dell Windows tablet that has an HSPA card built in allowing for a sim card to be put in. Under connections there is both WiFi and Mobile connections and it lists what network the sim is with.

its a mecer...well it must have that capabillity due it have a sim slot....and no the connection is not under conenctions as i mentioned

Check under device manager if it's listed. I think it should be under network adapters.

I had an issue with mine with one of the windows 10 versions. It would not show under connections. In device manager, there was a yellow triangle on the adapter. I could not upgrade the driver to get it to work. It eventually came right a couple of windows versions later.

GOT IT...but it ask me to enter a APN to connect...??

If you're on MTN or Vodacom, it will be:

internet

on Afrihost or similar it will be different, ie

afrihost

User name and password you can leave blank

With a Telkom SIM the APN should be : internet

EDIT: I see there is mention of an APN : TelkomInternet
See page 16 here:

Could be worth a try.....

I've never had to enter any other info (except I think to select IPv4 on one device).

Are you sure that SIM is data enabled and that you have airtime/data bundle loaded?
