I wonder if someone can help me we are using a Vodacom 3g card on my laptop. I have a crossover network cable between my laptop and PC. I shared the 3g connection and if you go the the pc it shows that the 3g connection is available and if you click on it the 3g card on my laptop starts up. But if you open the internet explorer there is no connection.
Could you please tell me if there are settings I need to change.

With the computer with the 3G card:

Click on start -> My Network places
In My Network places you will see an option on the left that says "Set up home or small office network" click on that.

Click Next x2

When you get to the "Select a connection method" window, choose the option that says " This computer connects directly to the internet..etc"

Click Next, and finish of the setup wizard. When it asks you if you want to make a disk and stuff, just choose the option to finish off without doing anything else.

The computer that needs to connect to the internet:

Do the same as above, except when you get to the "Connection method" window, select the option that says, "This computer connections to the internet through a residential gateway"

Finish the wizard off.

You should now both be connected to each other with internet connection sharing enabled.
