Hi

I would like to find out if is there a way one can track websites visited using a 3G when connecting to the internet? for example say i have visited websites like Vodacom, MTN, Webmail, yahoo, google etc. then i can just run a report that can generate a list of this.
I am currently on Vodacom 3G and www.vodacom4me.co.za can only give me data that i have used.
Your assistance will be much appreciated.

Install a Proxy Server - many Linux firewall distros include proxies, use one to manage your 3G connection and control who can visit sites as well as be able to see what sites have been visited. I suggest that you try [searchforum]Smoothwall Express 3[/searchforum], there is also a Linux sub-forum...

PS: welcome to MyBroadband :).

Thank you sir. Already feel at home
Does this Smoothwall Express 3 only work for Linux and won't wok for XP?

SWE3 is a software firewall and router, you can connect any PC to an SWE3 PC via ethernet [network cable etc].

Thanks for the response.the reason i am asking about this is that, we have about 50 people in the organization that uses 3G and lately we believe it has been suggested to abuse,so we need to track which sites are being visited when they are out of office. how can SWE3 assist in this case? we are running on XP

SWE3 will not help you there, I suggest that you p.m. v3g with a link to this thread, and mention your requirements, it is possible that Vodacom will have a VPN solution for your company that will solve your problem.
