Has anyone been able to set-up a PDA to connect via 3G to the internet using a Sony Ericsson V800? I managed to connect my PC through Bluetooth and the USB cables, but my PDA is refusing to cooperate.
I read a review on the DELL Axim50V (which is what I am using) and the author claims he was able to do this by using the correct modem initialization strings
I am using +cdgcont=3,"IP","Internet"
The number I am dialing is *99***3#
It also does not work without the string (it does on XP)
This is the same sting that I use for the PC connection (Win2000)
The phone just does not start dialing, it establishes the Bluetooth connection but no dial…
The 3g Vodacom support helped me before with the PC connection, but yesterday they told me to use 5 in stead of 3 which does not make sense as the internet pre set ID on the phone is 3….. this did not work
Anyone have any advice please?
