3G video call requirements

Dialed *123*15# from my HTC Touch Pro 2 with the 3G icon showing. Got the following response:

"Yello! Your Video Calling Activation Request has failed. You can only request Video Calling Acttivation from a 3G phone."

If the TP2 is not a 3G phone then what is?

Yes it has a camera on the front.

Yeh - it worked for me the one time I tried it on my Tytn II.

I was a sucker as well when it came to the 3G Sim, but luckily I wasn't charged for it. When I got my Nokia 6680 way back, I got the sim upgraded for video calling.

Recently my dad got a Nokia N97, and after putting his old "MTN - The Better Connection" sim in, I was able to pick up 3G signal. Haven't seen if it could do HSDPA yet though.

Was pretty interesting to see that.
