Currently on a 2Mb Telkom line but upgraded my cell contract to the MTN 50GB data plan so wanna cancel my ADSL (saving R149 rental per month).
I looked at the Huawei 3G devices cos they much cheaper than the LTE devices (about R900 opposed to R1600). Is there really a need for me to go LTE considering that I am currently happy with my 2Mb Telkom line? What would the disadvantage be of going with the older 3G devices.
Is there a mifi device you guys recommend? I don't mind paying up to R1 600.
Thanks

well in tech you generally want the newest things so you can delay the next upgrade a bit longer.

if lte coverage is decent in your area get the mifi device, or rather a router that takes a simcard. im not familiar with the devices that work with mtn. if the huawei b315 router works i would recommend getting one of those rather, unless you want the mobility of the mifi.

Thanks- Prefer the mobility of mifi. Been reading and the Huawei E5573 looks promising.

Sorry for pitching in late... if you have both LTE and 3G coverage, then rather buy LTE. It is much, much better.
