Are there any 3G phones that do not have a camera? I.e. I just want to use the phone to talk and for data. I prefer to use a real camera for pictures.

Exactly. However, it only costs the manufacturesrs US$5.00 to add the camera. So every phone you see will have one. Imagine the lens that you get for (less than) US$5.00

I have a Ninon F5, a Nikon F3 and a Kodak 14n Professional (14 megapixels). I am a professional photographer. Leave the toys where they belong.

the nokia 6630 doesnt have a front vidcon camera. only the "main" camera on the rear.
apparently voda wont be releasing any phones minus the camera...

The big problem is that for people who visit secure sites alot - they do not allow you in with cameras - and they *are* clever enough to check your cellphone.

If you really wanted to cou could sneak one in. In a lighter, keyring, memory stick etc..Most of the so-called secure sites Ive been to they just tape it over. Alternatively print yourself a nice vinil and tape it over yourself :p

Or just get yourself a cheap phone to take to those sites; lika a T100 for example.

Samsung don't allow cellphone cameras into their factory in S Korea where they manufacture cellphones -- with cameras, of course...go figure

bb_matt, don't laugh. I know of a Samsung phone with a 5 MegaPixel camera on it. Scary.
