Hi Guys.
In line with the genetics report I have decided to do a bit of research, if local calls were free, I would be able to download/upload about 40GB of data a month. Calculations are as follows :- 30 days per month * 24 hours per day * 60 minutes * 60 seconds *16k/s /1024 (MB) /1024 (GB) = 39.55GB per month UNCAPPED, UNSHAPED. Telkom's 3GB cap now looks trivial compared to the data that a normal dial-up line can transfer. Why are there no caps on dial-up ? Telkom are constantly moaning about the price of bandwidth yet with dialup I can transfer THIRTEEN TIMES more data on a normal ISDN modem with better pings than on DSL. ISDN may be older but it is superior to DSL.
Sies Telkom, dis baie sleg.
