Just been looking at MotorHappy for my 2005 Polo and it is looking quite temping seeing as my car is approaching 200k on the odo and everything that can go wrong is going wrong.

Is it worth it or better to just go out of pocked for repairs?

I'm currently looking at having to replace the thermostat housing, replace the clutch and get a new A/C condenser

What's the price? Just remember that these things only cover a portion of the repair costs - in most cases

A "service plan" won't cover those repairs.
You need a mechanical warranty like Motorite instead

Price of the premium or of the total repairs?

The premium. In most cases, many people will recommend saving the money and paying out if the car needs work. Will they pay for existing work needed to? If so, take a look at how much they pay and how it will work

took a look at bidvest mechanical warrenty as well,

looks like theyll try sneak out of paying you when push comes to shove.....

I mean what exactly is the buisness model of MOST insurance companies?
pay only as a last resort.....
