So then why do UK releases of games not contain more game than US releases? We South Africans should be getting even more since we're paying more, and presumably that higher price is because of the extra stuff they spent time and effort building just for us.I hope all of you complaining about prices & what not understand how much time & effort it takes to build them.
Maybe it costs them nothing. Of course if they want to spend their money on copy protection, lawyers, cocaine, hookers and so on that's their problem, not mine. Also, all you piraters out there, think about how much you cost the gaming industry when you don't buy their games.
But local PC game prices are already not really out of line and in fact cheaper than Europe. Can't buy console games on Steam, and that's where the big disparity exists.Normally you would find the problem in the supply chain
Typical US Game path: Developer -> Publisher -> retail -> gamer
Typical SA Game path: Developer -> Publisher -> Regional Publisher -> Distributor -> Retail -> Gamer
Everyone want a piece of the pie, thats why I buy via Steam, it cuts the middle men out.
