Its absolutely heartbreaking to hear about the situation in Rustenburg.

I know a technical specialist at Anglo Kumba - her husband is a Electrical Engineer at one of Anglo Platinum's mines near there.
He's been stuck at home for 3 months now.
They are lucky. She works nearby and a few years ago received a very decent loyalty bonus from Kumba (Average bonus for a cleaner was R325 000) Their house is paid off, the kids are still at school. He's been spending his time helping out with their church's feeding scheme. But a lot of their neighbors are not that lucky.
Those people are getting desperate. And desperate people will lash out at anyone.
